From Casteil to Casteil

This ancestral path nearly 19km long crosses the Massif des Salines and reaches an altitude of 1450m at the Roc de Fraussa. Witness to exile and the Retirada but also used for smuggling, “From castle to castle” is a route steeped in history. On either side of the border, from Maçanet de Cabrenys to Reynès, discover the cultural and natural wealth of this wild and preserved cross-border territory.
