EXPOSITION LES SENS DES DES MOTS CALLIGRAPHIES D’HASSAN MAJDI

A self-taught calligrapher, Hassan Majdi was introduced to Arabic calligraphy at an early age by his maternal grandfather. As an adolescent, he continued to practise by copying newspaper headlines and Egyptian film posters.
His artistic work explores calligraphic forms and gestures to sublimate a universal message of peace and love between peoples.
His approach is to seek harmony between gesture, breath and movement in an arabesque aesthetic: the trance of words.
Hassan Majdi has always sought to share and exchange with Chinese, Hebrew, Latin and Oriental calligraphers.
He exhibits his work in France and abroad, and runs workshops and lectures on Arabic calligraphy.
